There are circumstances where utilities services are needed on a temporary basis, and all utilities services may not be needed.  Accordingly, the City has established these options for temporary services.  However, the current applicable base rates and commodity rates apply.

OPTIONS:

  1.    TEMPORARY SERVICES –  Water, Electric and Sewer  (Example: All Utility Services for Landlords for cleaning or minor repairs):

24-hour service for water, electric and sewer. Fee: $25.00
 

2.    TEMPORARY SERVICES – Electric Only (Example: Electric service for new construction on vacant land with no utility service available):

Indefinite period, normal electric rates apply. Contractor must attest to the fact that they will not be using any other City services such as water, sanitary sewer facilities, or for solid waste collection.   Violations may result in charges of theft of services and may be subject to fines as indicated in the City’s Code of Ordinances, §50.02.

3.    TEMPORARY SERVICES  (Choice of Utility Services (Example: Renovating an existing structure where all utility services are readily available):

Normal rates apply. Unauthorized use of services violations may result in charges of theft of services and may be subject to fines as indicated in the City’s Code of Ordinances, §50.02.
