Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant

On October 14, 2022 Westminster Police Department was awarded $18,990 from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs through the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding.  The grant will benefit the Westminster Police Department by funding the purchase of new In-Car computers.  This grant funds the continued use of technology to enhance the modernization and policing methods of the Westminster Police Department. 

“We are currently using computers that are seven (7) years old or older. The grant funds the purchase of new in-car computers and enables the Officers to access to the most current information available at any time. Timely information is critical to keep the public safe as well as the Officers. This is important in the Policing services we provide. A very big “thank you” to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs.”
