South Carolina Apple Festival

While there are many festivals and events scattered all over Oconee County throughout the year, there is none more well know throughout the state than the South Carolina Apple Festival that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011. Beginning the day after Labor Day and running through the following weekend, the Apple Festival celebrates the beginning of apple harvest season in the largest apple-producing area in the state. Whether you enjoy whitewater rafting, shopping for arts and crafts, browsing antique shops, or just kicking back and listening to live mountain music, the Apple Festival offers something for the whole family. Most of the events are free and are planned with the entire family in mind.
